According to details, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has sent a special tweet on the sighting of Muharram moon in Pakistan.

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that the moon of the month of Muharram was not visible in Karachi today.
But the Ruwit Halal Committee decided to look at the moon through binoculars.
The Federal Minister said that the decision of Ruwit-e-Hilal to rely on technology was welcome and once again the calendar of the Ministry of Science and Technology proved to be correct.

Hopefully, this decision will ease the issue of vision. A meeting of the Central Route Hilal Committee was convened in Karachi to observe the new moon of Muharram.
The meeting was chaired by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, while meteorologists and astronomers also attended the meeting.
Apart from Karachi, a meeting of the country’s zonal sighting crescent committees was also held.
The heads of the Zonal Ruwit Hilal Committees kept in touch with the Central Ruwit Hilal Committee through online.
It has been reported that the Meteorological Department and astronomers had already predicted that the moon of Muharram will be visible in the country on Thursday, August 20.
But the weather was cloudy across the country.
Later, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman announced that the moon has appeared, thus the first Muharram 1442 AH will be on Friday, August 21.
While Ashura will be on Sunday 30 August.
