During the meeting of the BCCI Apex Council, it was believed that the UAE could prove to be the most suitable for hosting the IPL this year.

The previous experience of the flight facilities available here and better medical arrangements have attracted attention. Also, it is possible to cut the quarantine period.

Almost half of the IPL was played in UAE in 2014 when the local board made proper arrangements for the matches.

IPL can be 5-6 weeks. This short IPL tournament can be held between the end of September and the beginning of November. Significantly, the highly popular T20 League IPL was to be held from March 29, but it was postponed indefinitely due to Corona virus epidemic.

During the meeting, a training camp for contracted players was also discussed. For this, two options were discussed in Dharamshala and Ahmedabad, where a bio-safe environment can be created. But due to lack of accommodation, the choice of Dharamshala was rejected.

If the BCCI organizes training camps for the players, then Ahmedabad may prove to be suitable for hosting it. Due to the current status of Kovid-19, players cannot train at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru. News Mag.
